Um, ok politics.

GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle spoke to a group of students at Las Vegas’ Rancho High School. Between the change I can believe in from the dems and this, I’m going to keep my voter registration in the independent column. For real.

So that’s what we want is a secure and sovereign nation and, you know, I don’t know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me. I don’t know that. [Note: it's the Hispanic Student Union. The whole room is Hispanic teenagers.] What we know, what we know about ourselves is that we are a melting pot in this country. My grandchildren are evidence of that. I’m evidence of that. I’ve been called the first Asian legislator* in our Nevada State Assembly.

*Angle is not Asian, but recently disclosed that a reporter once told her she looked Asian. Uh huh.

The American Heart Association has issued new guidelines for administering CPR, in light of the fact that chest compressions are especially helpful because they keep the blood circulating. The old method called for clearing airway obstructions and administering mouth to mouth resuscitation, but recently CPR administered strictly by hand has been found to save more lives in cardiac arrest situations.
