Nope, not Christmas, but Black History Month. Since this year’s theme is The History of Black Economic Empowerment, I will focus mainly on entrepreneurs, financiers, and people of great achievement in the area of business. The twist, this year, is that there may even be a few biographies of men. In the past, I made it a priority to write about female achievers because from my experience, a lot of times their stories don’t get the respect and recognition that their male counterparts do. I will always seek out the women of achievement in a field when I do these posts, but I thought I’d make it a bit more balanced and interesting by including a few menfolk.
